Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

BASIC FUNCTION
This individual will lead strategic sourcing (Direct and Indirect procurement) and support procurement systems and policy compliance for the Kohler Co. Indonesia region. The successful candidate will be based out of Kohler Indonesia manufacturing plant and develop a team of sourcing professionals to effectively manage all sourcing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop a comprehensive sourcing vision, strategy and implementation roadmap in alignment with key internal stakeholders for the region.
2. Develop strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders and work with them to prioritize opportunities and challenges.
3. Oversee strategic sourcing of the region (Direct and Indirect spend categories), supplier relationships and related negotiations, business reviews, supplier assessments and selections, with the goal of obtaining optimized quality, cost, delivery and innovation.
4. Ensure compliance with the Kohler Co. Global Procurement Policy Manual.
5. Develop and implement metrics reporting for in scope responsibilities and related continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Develop and implement advanced methods to evaluate supplier proposals and improve the selection process.
7. Seek new supply opportunities of raw material and components by incorporating supplier market information and internal customer needs.
8. Review and request for proposal/quotation, supplier selection and contract agreement and maintain correct info record into system.
9. Develop and implement supplier performance measurement systems to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
10. Identify and develop potential suppliers who can cater for Kohler’s global requirements.
11. Coach, develop and efficiently manage talent in strategic sourcing team.

AREA RESPONSIBILITIES
Kohler Indonesia Manufacturing Plant: Direct materials sourcing (Raw Materials, Components, Packaging, etc.) and Indirect materials sourcing.
Corporate Indirect Procurement: All indirect sourcing managed from Jakarta office. This includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore offices.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Report to Associate Director – Strategic Sourcing (South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East).
Closely work with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Materials Planning and Finance and Accounting and Technology Lab.
Frequently in contact with Key Suppliers.

Skills/Requirements

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

1. Formal and informal leadership, capable of leading the strategic sourcing function for Indonesia.
2. Excellent communicator, skilled at aligning stakeholders and rallying teams around a vision and strategy.
3. Skilled at continuous improvement in strategic sourcing, procurement process, policy and systems strategy.
4. Accomplished negotiator and able to construct and manage complex, sophisticated arrangements.
5. Team player within the region and within the Global Strategic Sourcing team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Logistics, MBA is preferable.
2. Must be assertive, persuasive, analytical, and an excellent communicator and leader of people with solid organization and prioritization skills.
3. SAP experience is desirable.
4. Good command of English.
