Job description

Purpose / Mission

Deliver the performance targets set for their businesses based on an in-depth understanding of the local retail environment and retail operations. Direct operations of retail business activities to ensure that current and future organizational plans are met. Oversee and direct activities of retail and store managers in achieving business objectives.

Functional Accountabilities

Operation

• Implement retail operating procedures, policies, and controls. Ensure retail operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate requirements in a timely manner.
• Develop and review marketing plans and opportunities to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and MSP results.

Data Analysis

• Supervise preparation of new store business forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports.
• Participate in group business planning, monitor results, and analyze competitors to inform future strategies.
• Manage retail research programs (mystery shopping, competitor benchmarking) and use findings to develop performance improvement projects.
• Track and benchmark market performance, identify support areas, and develop improvement projects with markets.

Budget & Expenses

• Prepare and monitor revenue and expenditure to meet profit objectives.

People

• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to foster performance development.
• Deliver effective standard operation training to store operations teams.
• Contribute retail operations expertise to training program development.
• Control store operation KPIs and track performance.

Professional Background / Experience

• Preferably 4+ years of managerial experience in retail operations.
• Preferably in apparel, fashion, or footwear sectors.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft tools.
