Job summary

A leading automotive parts manufacturer in Indonesia seeks a Quality Manager with over 7 years of experience in Quality Control. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, and have a solid understanding of quality management systems. Candidates should have experience in the two-wheeled automotive sector, preferably at an OEM/Tier 1 level. Responsibilities include overseeing quality compliance, conducting audits, and coordinating cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of work experience in Quality Control.
• At least 4 years in a managerial role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Experienced in handling customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality management systems and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to improve quality.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare Control Plans and 8D Reports.

Skills

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia

Proficient in English or Mandarin

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001

Proficient in core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Job description

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 7 years of work experience in Quality Control, with at least 4 years in a managerial role, preferably in the two-wheeled automotive manufacturing industry (experience in OEM/Tier 1 is highly preferred).

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English or mandarin (spoken and written).

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001.

Proficient in core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.

Experienced in process quality control, root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram).

Familiar with automotive customer-specific requirements (e.g., Yamaha & Honda).

Skilled in preparing Control Plans, 8D Reports, and conducting internal audits.

Ability to read technical drawings and product specifications.

Proficient in using measuring instruments (e.g., caliper, micrometer, CMM).

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and PPIC teams.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Experienced in handling customer complaints and implementing corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not required):

Certified Internal Auditor for IATF/ISO.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement projects
