Job description

The Mechanic Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of vehicles, machinery, or equipment within the organization. This role involves supervising a team of mechanic, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed safely, on time, and within budget, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend the life of company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and schedule the activities of the mechanical maintenance team.

Ensure all maintenance work is performed efficiently, safely, and complies with company policies and regulations.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles, equipment, or machinery.

Manage inventory levels of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Monitor and improve KPIs (e.g., equipment uptime, repair turnaround time).

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate equipment availability and prioritize repair work.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Evaluate the performance of team members and recommend training or development programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Proven experience as a Mechanic and Leading a team

Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (automotive, heavy equipment, manufacturing, etc.).

Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.

Proficiency in diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Familiarity with maintenance software and computer literacy (e.g., MS Office, CMMS).

Comfortable communicating in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

Experience working in a cross-functional or matrix organization
