Overview of job
GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and is part of WPP. We are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Manager Content Strategist to join us.
As the Content Strategist, you will manage digital content campaigns for GroupM agencies and brands. You are an organized and self-driven individual who will ensure smooth campaign implementation and achievement of KPIs. You will coordinate with key stakeholders, including media agency planners, vendors, publishers, and internal departments such as finance and billing. You should be meticulous, organized, and proactive in managing work to launch and execute campaigns successfully.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Content Strategist Lead.

Goals in this role:
In three months:
  • Develop a strong understanding of daily digital content planning and implementation, working with minimal supervision and errors.
  • Build effective internal relationships with stakeholders like agencies, finance teams, and media vendors to achieve goals.
  • Learn how to create strategies and sell content to clients.
  • Master campaign launching processes, especially booking, implementation, and post-campaign activities.
In six months:
  • Supervise campaigns from start to finish to meet objectives within the campaign period.
  • Understand work processes of vendors, publishers, and influencers, aligning them with client needs, timelines, KPIs, and deliverables.
  • Develop the ability to assess creatives and performance across digital formats like articles, videos, social media snippets, and influencer content.
In 12 months:
  • Create effective content strategies and full campaign proposals for digital content needs.
  • Understand departmental systems and processes, proposing improvements to workflows.
  • Take ownership as a brand guardian, ensuring strategic and creative requirements are met in campaigns.
Responsibilities include:
  • Campaign Strategy: Lead pitches, create strategies from briefs, and collaborate with agencies for proposal approval.
  • Campaign Implementation: Build relationships to ensure successful campaign launches and completion.
  • Personal Development: Continuously learn about digital content practices and the broader media landscape.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Communication Arts, or related fields.
  • Preferably 7-8 years’ experience in media or creative agencies or related organizations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail, process-driven, with good time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
  • Passion for media, digital content, and campaign execution.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve campaign goals.
