The position requires deep knowledge of building and civil construction practices, strong leadership of staff and subcontractors, and a proven track record in civil project management to deliver on daily, weekly, and monthly

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related disciplines.
• 10+ years' experience in civil/construction.
• Experience managing operational and technical roles in construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction works to achieve targets.
• Develop and supervise assigned subordinates for efficient construction.
• Review and drive continuous improvement for optimum efficiencies.
• Ensure competent technical resources are available for construction activities.
• Maintain coordination to integrate construction plans and schedules.
• Promote safe and environmentally friendly working procedures and compliance with HSE.
• Consolidate and present monthly and annual reports for decision making.
• Share knowledge and update construction expertise within the organization.

Job description

Currently, Leighton is looking for Architectural Construction Manager for Data Center.
This role is to manage all construction activities carried out on projects, while maintaining adherence to specification, drawings, schedules, site QA/QC, health & safe working environment within budgeted cost levels with the prime objective of ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly production targets are achieved

Key Accountabilities:

1. To manage the construction works of the project to which he has been assigned in order to ensure that targets are achieved
2. To manage and develop the assigned subordinates in order to optimize workable time in construction.
3. To review and control continuous improvement and optimization activities in order to ensure optimum efficiencies in ongoing basis.
4. To review and control sufficient competent technical resources are available in order to effectively perform construction activities.
5. To maintain inter and intra-functional coordination to ensure that construction plans and schedules are integrated.
6. To monitor and provide recommendation towards safe and environmentally friendly working procedures in order to ensure the excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters in order to comply with statutory requirements and HSE expectation.
7. To consolidate and review reports from subordinates/team members in order to ensure the accurate presentation of monthly and annual reports for decision making purposes.
8. To perform knowledge sharing and update construction technical expertise in order to enhance the professional development within the organization

Requirements:

• Degree in civil engineering or related disciplines
• Deep knowledge upon practical application of building and civil construction & safety legal requirements
• 10++ years' experience in civil/construction
• Have extensive experience in building construction works with a capability in monitoring direct staff and subcontractors
• Experience in managing operational and technical role in the construction industry.
• Experience working at civil contractor is preferred.
• Have a minimum of 5 years exposure in civil project management.
