Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facility Management, with strong experience in facility, asset, or building management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management, preferably with a background in property or retail industries.
- At least 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing technicians and/or building operations across multiple sites is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of facility management standards and best practices, including:
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, building security, and other utility systems.
- Renovation/fit-out projects: planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Asset management and preventive & corrective maintenance.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement HSE (Health and Safety) principles in the workplace.
- Experienced in handling permits, signage, and technical compliance with local regulations.
- Capable of developing project plans (timeline, budget, and resources) and overseeing end-to-end execution of office renovation projects.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and project targets.
- Strong ability in coaching, mentoring, and evaluating team performance.
- Communicative, assertive, and solution-oriented in handling operational issues.
- Experienced in drafting and updating facility operational SOPs.
- Skilled in preparing reports on budget usage, facility conditions, and project progress.
- Holds relevant certifications in HSE, facility management, or project management (Plus).
Job Description
- Ensure the smooth operation of all building operations, including public facilities, security, cleanliness, and comfort.
- Oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and care of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems, and other building equipment.
- Maintain effective communication with external parties regarding complaints, service requests, and additional needs.
- Prepare regular reports to central management regarding operations, finances, maintenance, and the general condition of the building.
- Ensure vendors work according to contracts and service standards.
- Identify opportunities for development and service improvement in the building management area.
- Coach, direct, and evaluate the performance of the Building Operations/Technician team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training or mentoring, and plan capability development for all team members.
- Take full responsibility for the management of renovation projects (fit-out).
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and prepare periodic reports on facility conditions and budget utilization.
