Job summary

compuraymedical is seeking a Temporary Mammography Technologist in Batavia, IL to join the Outpatient Department for a temporary contract. You will perform diagnostic mammography imaging, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high image quality for breast health screening.

The role requires ARRT Mammography certification and an active IL Radiologic Technologist license, with prior mammography experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• Current IL Radiologic Technologist license.
• Previous mammography experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography imaging services, including performing various mammography-related procedures.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging, selecting the appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
• Explain the procedure to patients and educate them about the importance of regular mammograms for preventive breast health.
• Develop and evaluate mammography films for technical quality, including density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Ensure all images are of high quality and submitted promptly to PACS, ensuring correct lead markers, patient data, and history.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to minimize exposure and protect patient and staff health.
• Monitor and maintain mammography equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or potential issues to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• No on‑call required

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, education, and location. Actual offer will be based on comparison with associates in similar roles.
