Job Description:
- Lead and manage the Marketing & A&P department and team, providing leadership and direction to achieve company objectives, goals, and KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies and plans for the Marketing & A&P department to improve profitability and meet KPI targets.
- Plan, develop, and manage the department's budget, review performance, and take remedial actions to ensure targets are met, with monthly reviews with superiors.
- Manage and improve mall footfall rates, ensuring marketing events, activities, and promotions are optimized and aligned with budget.
- Oversee best practices in marketing events, activities, promotions, kiosks, vending machines, and counters, including documentation such as LOOs, LA, and other processes.
- Coordinate with event organizers, vendors, operators, and retailers, ensuring proper management approval for any amendments.
- Review all marketing and A&P budgets and KPI performance, focusing on rental/income yield, GTO, rent growth, and overall mall performance improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation, recording, and filing of all marketing reports and related documents in accordance with SOPs.
- Lead, guide, and train the marketing team, maintaining professionalism, high standards, and integrity; support team negotiations.
- Address tenant, promotion space operator, customer, and shopper queries, requests, feedback, and complaints to improve services and maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor tenant, space operator, event organizer, and advertising space rental income collection, analyzing performance and taking necessary legal actions to ensure compliance.
- Verify and update event, activity, promotion, vending machine, and counter information in the Yardi system for accuracy.
- Manage and monitor social media platforms to maximize brand awareness, engagement, and interaction.
- Plan and execute tenant engagement and sales initiatives to boost overall GTO and rent percentage.
- Coordinate with the finance department regarding billing, collection, and reporting.
- Compile and generate periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) for management review, including remedial actions for performance improvements.
- Conduct market studies and gather information on events, activities, tenants, and competitors for department improvement.
- Review and evaluate staff KPIs periodically and provide quarterly performance reports.
- Develop and review manpower plans, including training and coaching, to enhance team productivity.
- Review and improve existing SOPs, ensuring full implementation and compliance.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation within the department and across departments in a harmonious work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all marketing-related information.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management or the Head of Tenancy.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in tenancy or marketing-related fields, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Creative mindset with awareness of market trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to generate revenue is preferred.
- Willing to be based at Resorts World Genting.
