About the role

PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia is seeking a talented Maintenance Safety Specialist to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities are executed in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role bridges maintenance operations and safety oversight, providing expert guidance on safe work practices during preventive, corrective, and turnaround maintenance activities.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum diploma degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related technical major.
2. At least 5 years of proven experience and 3 years in a supervisory position, preferably in chemical industry or metal processing plant.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office & ERP system are mandatory.
4. Certified General OSH Expert (AK3U), Authorized Gas Tester (AGT), Electrical/Mechanical Inspector are preferred.
5. Expertise in identifying potential hazards related to maintenance operations and recommend mitigation measures.
6. In-depth knowledge with the safety policies, including JSEA, PTW, Hazard Reports, SBO, etc.
7. Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
8. Possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
9. Excellent teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders.
10. Ability to work effectively in high-risk environments with a commitment to safety and health standards.
