Job summary

JAPFA is seeking a maintenance technician to operate and monitor production equipment at our In-Line 4 unit in Indonesia. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, quality checks, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience, with basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read manuals and work in shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an industrial production or maintenance role, preferably within a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical condition, capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Adherence to safety protocols and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and minor adjustments to optimize equipment performance and extend lifespan.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, performing immediate corrective actions or escalating complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors.
• Conduct quality checks on products during the production process, ensuring adherence to specifications and reporting any deviations.
• Record production data, maintenance activities, and equipment status accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment or processes.
