Maintenance Manager / Assistant Maintenance Manager

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Far East Paper Products Sdn Bhd as a Maintenance Manager or Assistant Maintenance Manager. In this full-time position based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing facilities.

What you'll be doing

  1. Department Oversight: Lead and manage the Maintenance Department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  2. Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  3. Team Leadership: Supervise and train maintenance personnel; delegate tasks effectively to ensure high performance.
  4. Technical Projects: Drive machine improvement initiatives including design of mechanical parts and electrical control systems.
  5. Vendor Coordination: Source and manage procurement of machine parts; liaise with external service providers for equipment servicing.
  6. Quality Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities align with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 documentation and standards.
  7. Emergency Response: Provide immediate support for urgent breakdowns; maintain readiness for 24-hour technical troubleshooting.

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications.
  2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  3. Strong knowledge in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance systems.
  4. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards, and quality management systems.
  5. Responsible, detail-oriented, and professional with the ability to lead a team and maintain high standards.
  6. Willing to take ownership of tasks, manage technical projects, and support 24/7 operations as needed.
