Job Summary
To be a Machines Operator to support repair process of GE gas turbine Hot Gas Path (HGP) components in PTG Service Center. In this role, you will be an integral part of our skilled workforce, tasked with precision machining and tools to repair gas turbine components to achieve highest quality products by complying to world class safety standards at all times.
Essential Functions, responsibilities
- Perform high-quality shot peen and cold spray process for gas turbine components as part of repair process, including ensure process preparation according to standard work.
- Manage and monitor consumables (e.g., peening media size/shape, cold spray metallic powders) to ensure they remain within specified requirements.
- Interpret and work from shop work instructions and GE repair standards to achieve accurate and precise results.
- Perform inspection on process results to ensure the product according to GE specification.
- Escalate EHS, equipment, or quality issues to lead hand & supervisor based on escalation matrix.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and checklist as part of standard work.
- Collaborate with other operators, supervisors, engineers, and other staff for daily operations.
- Adhere to all EHS procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Raise any concerns and/or stop works if observing any unsafe condition or quality risks during daily job.
- Participate in GE Lean Action Work Out (AWO) event.
Qualifications requirements
- Minimum graduated from vocational high school with major of manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or other related disciplines.
- Have at least two years working experience in machining processes (CNC, Shot Peen, and Cold Spray equipment).
- Have experience with basic measurement inspection.
- Have experience with operating robotic equipment.
- Can interpret and adhere to work instruction (WI) document.
- Having machining certification would be a plus.
