Position Summary:

Our Milacron Batavia, OH location is hiring a Electrical Wiring Assembly technician. This position builds and wires panels for machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following layouts, electrical circuits, and other written and verbal specifications.

Work You'll Do:
  1. Read, comprehend, and interpret wiring diagrams.
  2. Set the department / area standards in housekeeping, attendance, and teamwork by example.
  3. Communicate any discrepancies or errors on prints, materials list, etc.
  4. Recognize problems during assembly, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
  5. Produce quality work within the expected time frame.
  6. Complete Lockout / Tagout training and use all required items when performing Lockout.
  7. Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
  8. Recognize problems with electrical designs and parts, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  9. Recommend improvements for work area, products, and processes.
  10. Perform prototype work with limited engineering support and minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics.
  • Strong mechanical assembly aptitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (basic math, reading, and writing).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal leadership and participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to adapt to high stress/emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 3+ years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
