What you’ll do

• Conduct regular daily site visits, attend TBT each day, inspect contractors’ PTW, and report deficiencies.
• Actively conduct System Mechanical Completion Walkdowns when invited.
• Attend project meetings where required.
• Draft construction letters and reports when required.
• Monitor activities of EPC contractor and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures, and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.
• Responsible for the implementation of corporate and project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
• Be a safety leader, ensuring all safety codes, site-specific procedures, requirements, and standards are being complied with.
• Maintain effective relationships with the EPC contractor and PERTAMINA to create a positive working environment while achieving results.
• Oversee and monitor the implementation of Mechanical work packages by EPC contractors and subcontractors, from approval through closeout and testing.
• Anticipate potential problems, analyze, and recommend solutions or corrective actions.
• Coordinate with PERTAMINA operating personnel for work implementation.
• Verify items installed per drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Manage punch lists and document defective items, maintaining reports at each project phase.
• Participate in system turnovers at each project phase.
• Provide guidance on NCRs to QA.
• Interface with PERTAMINA and PMC engineering teams as needed.
• Attend weekly site safety walks.
• Manage responses to site queries and requests from EPC contractors promptly.
• Coordinate with site personnel, contractors, and procurement to track schedules and progress, report trends, and highlight issues.
• Verify contractor progress claims and claims for variations.
• Coordinate with operations for planning construction activities dependent on plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Provide leadership to PMC and EPC construction teams.
• Contribute to detailed design and constructability and risk reviews.
• Guide EPC construction and management personnel strategically.
• Align daily with the PERTAMINA construction team to ensure efficient and competent execution.

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Completion and related processes.
• Discipline construction engineers should have knowledge in all disciplines and collaborate with other discipline engineers for correctness.
