This role is based at Caterpillar’s Indonesia Batam facility, where we manufacture Hydraulic Shovels—essential equipment used in infrastructure development and mining to move the materials that help build a better world. Here, you’ll be part of a dynamic, globally connected team, contributing directly to the delivery of world-class products and solutions that power progress around the globe.

Travel Requirement: up to 10%

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is available for this position.

What You Will Do:

Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and identifying opportunities to reduce lead times.

Identifying opportunities for improvements including cost, quality, and service of customer needs and issues.

Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.

Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs and carrier performance. Planning and tracking lead times including compliance with related regulations.

Develop and implement packaging solutions for materials.

What Skills You Have:

Logistics Management : Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Supplier Management : Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

Supply Chain Management : Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

What Will Set You Apart:

Educational Background: A minimum of bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a related field.

Experience : At least 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics, with a preference for prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required.

Experienced and knowledgeable in warehouse management systems, mechanical drawings, and material packaging.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP MM, IM, or WM.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):

This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
