We’re hiring a Line Expeditor to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary:

Along with Cook responsibilities, organize orders for delivery ensuring they meet current specifications. Direct the flow on the expo side and monitor order production to ensure ticket times and quality are maintained. Coach and direct staff as needed to meet these goals.

The Details:

• Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
• Pay: $20.75 per hour
• Schedule: May include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

In addition to all Cook I duties, the Expeditor will:

• Organize food orders according to server tickets and menu specs, including portion control, temperature, and presentation
• Adhere to ServeSafe HACCP standards during all phases of food delivery
• Develop proficiency in menu items, allergens, and food specifications to ensure accurate preparation and presentation
• Use knives and equipment safely and sanitarily
• Set up and break down the cook line per standards and sanitation guidelines
• Perform prep work to cover upcoming shifts or meals
• Conduct temperature checks on line items prone to spoilage; report issues
• Follow FIFO standards for food rotation
• Communicate professionally with FOH and BOH staff, especially regarding food orders
• Practice teamwork and open communication
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE
• Ensure plates meet presentation standards, making corrections as needed
• Act as communication hub between FOH and BOH
• Train and monitor FOH staff on expo prep and garnishing
• Follow all safety, environmental, and risk policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of kitchen stations and equipment
• Experience in high-volume ala carte or batch production kitchens
• Ability to follow recipes and produce to standards
• Pass ServSafe HACCP certification
• Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds
• Ability to train and coach staff
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Availability for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements include:

• Constant standing, walking, reaching, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending
• Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds
