Job summary

Manulife Financial Corporation is seeking a Proposition Design & Development Lead to steer differentiated life and wealth propositions from insight through business-case approval and handover. The role emphasizes ILP, wealth accumulation, HNW, legacy planning, and multi-currency opportunities.

You will partner with Investments, Pricing, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Distribution to deliver a customer-focused proposition with clear guardrails and commercial value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in actuarial science, finance, economics, business, marketing or related field.
• Typically 8–12 years of experience in life insurance proposition, product strategy, or related areas.
• Proven ability to lead at least one major proposition from insight to launch and post-launch review.
• Experience using customer or distributor research to influence proposition direction and decisions.
• Strong understanding of investment-linked, wealth, and legacy-planning propositions; knowledge of APE/NBV/CSM is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposition strategy and 12–18 month roadmaps across life and wealth offerings.
• Define target customers, unmet needs, and proposition promises; develop customer journeys and benefit architecture.
• Own business-case components: rationale, differentiation, design assumptions, and outcomes; collaborate on commercial case and governance.
• Own design handover and ensure handover package includes all artifacts and success measures.
• Lead cross-functional teams and maintain proposition coherence across channels and partners.
• Review performance post-launch and drive continuous improvement based on evidence.
