Job summary

A leading company in North Sumatra seeks a Legal Counsel to support its corporate and property-related legal needs. This role involves legal research, contract preparation, and advising on various corporate matters. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law with a minimum of 7 years in the legal field, preferably in real estate or corporate law. Strong fluency in both spoken and written English is required.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience as Legal Real Estate/Property or related field.
• Experience in corporate law, investment law, property law, and contracts drafting.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Job description

Responsibilities :

• Perform legal research and analysis, as well as provide legal advice to Management or other Department for any corporate matters, proposed company acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, operation of property business, loan etc.
• Ensure each corporate permit (basic corporate license) is effective and should be extended prior to its expiry date.
• Ensure the land asset of the company should be extended prior to its expiry date.
• Prepare all required legal document to support the foregoing corporate action, and submit relevant online check list.
• Conduct legal due diligence.
• Prepare or review various contracts and NDA, and provide legal advice to user related to such contract, including guidance in submitting online check list.
• Ensure that we have obtained all required corporate documents prior to entering into a contract with any third parties.
• Prepare internal contracts, including Management Service contract, Lease property contract, Support Service contract, inter company loan contract, etc.
• Provide legal advice for any issues arising after the implementation of contracts.
• Follow up signing of all corporate related document, including liaise with other offices.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Law.
• At least 7 years of working experience as Legal Real Estate/Property or related field.
• Experience and exposure in either law firm or corporate, particularly for issues related to corporate law, investment law, property law and contracts drafting.
• Able to speak and write in English.
• Hands-on, attention to details.
• Placement in Medan, North Sumatra.
