Job description

The Legal Executive at Pertama Management plays a key role in protecting the company's legal and operational interests. This position involves drafting and managing all contracts (property owners, guests, vendors, partners, inter-company), ensuring compliance with Indonesian laws, and maintaining up-to-date legal documentation. The Legal Executive also supports the HR team with manpower law compliance and contracts, manages insurance claims and regulatory matters, and liaises with government authorities when needed. The role requires a proactive mindset and full discretion in handling sensitive information across all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Management Contracts, Properties Onboarding & Legal Documentation.
  • Draft and revise all management contracts (villas, hotels, complexes, partners, vendors, guests).
  • Assist with legal disputes or contractual misunderstandings with villa owners.
  • Draft and manage agreements between Pertama Management and sister companies.
  • Ensure all inter-company contracts remain in Pertama Management’s best interest.
  • Prevent overuse of resources or legal exposure from within the group.
  • Ensure all company operations are compliant with Indonesian law.
  • Update and maintain legal document templates, including NDAs and service agreements.
  • Identify legal risks in new partnerships, owner requests, and service changes.
  • Represent property owners in insurance claims and ensure documentation is complete and filed properly.
  • Request insurance coverage for new properties and follow up on policy renewals and payments.
  • Ensure good relationships with Banjar for all properties under our management.
  • Support Sales, Operations, Reservations, and Owner Relations on any legal matter that arises.
  • Prepare legal summaries and updates for the General Manager as required.
  • Liaise with Accounting for NPWPD and tax-related legal needs.
  • Assist in expatriate matters including contract structuring and KITAS/visas compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a legal or paralegal role, preferably in hospitality or property. Bachelor’s degree in law is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian law including hospitality, manpower, and corporate matters.
  • Experience handling contracts, insurance, compliance, risk management, and government interactions.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
