Job description

  • Reporter of all mandatory reporting at the level of the Syngenta Indonesia legal entities.
  • Manager of data room and hard copy filing of the Legal Team.
  • First reviewer of the Business-as-Usual agreements of all business units.
  • First drafter of Legal documents required for daily legal entity operation, e.g. Power of Attorney, Letter of Authorization.
  • Researching all sorts of Indonesian Laws with regards to the queries from within Syngenta Indonesia Teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide first draft of daily legal entity operation documents, e.g. Power of Attorney, Letter of Authorization,
  • Ensure that all Legal documents, e.g. corporate deeds, licenses, agreements, site permits, reports, etc. are properly filed and stored both offline and online.
  • Manage and submit all of the required periodical SIINAS and LKPM reporting to Ministry of Industry and Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) respectively.
  • Create and manage an online Legal Data Room that can be shared with the other related teams as the one single source of truth for legal documents.
  • Provide legal research summary in the form of Legal Advice and/or Legal Memo for topics related to the Company’s operation and/or business.
  • Ensure that all of the company’s business-related newly issued regulations are reviewed in order to provide regulatory updates to the related team(s).
  • Draft, review, revise, and finalize business-as-usual agreements, e.g. NDA, cooperation agreement, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum 1-3 years of experience in legal and/or compliance team, or a law firm, in the sectors of industry, retail, or FMCG;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Strong understanding on Investment Laws, Corporate Laws, Compliance, Intellectual Property Laws, and Industry Laws;
  • Experienced in LKPM & SIINAS reporting;
  • Licensing through OSS; and
  • Excellence in Legal Filing.
