Learning and Development Program Management

Job Purpose:
Learning and Development (L&D) plays a strategic role in designing, implementing, and overseeing bank-wide learning initiatives. This role ensures the effective delivery of training programs that support the organization’s goals, enhance employee capabilities, and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive L&D strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee operational management of L&D programs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate training outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the L&D budget and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in learning methodologies.
  • Lead and manage special L&D projects supporting strategic initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bank-Wide L&D Program Coordination:
    • Develop, manage, and coordinate comprehensive learning programs across all business units.
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to identify training needs and priorities.
  • Operational Management of L&D:
    • Oversee day-to-day L&D operations, ensuring efficient delivery of training activities.
    • Manage L&D teams, vendors, and external consultants.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation of Programs:
    • Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness.
    • Analyze training outcomes and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising program quality.
  • Ensure all learning programs comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote consistency in training content and delivery methods.
  • Drive improvements in L&D systems and technologies.
  • Implement innovative learning methodologies, including digital learning.
  • L&D Special Projects:
    • Lead special projects such as leadership development and talent management initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic HR projects.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Learning and Development, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of leading L&D initiatives and managing teams.
  • Strong experience in budget management, program evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in L&D, HR, or related areas are preferred.
  • Proficiency in L&D technologies, learning management systems (LMS), and data analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies.
