Job summary

COSCO is seeking an experienced ventilation engineer to plan, implement, and maintain underground mine ventilation systems. The role requires advanced analysis, design, and operational expertise to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient performance.

You will mentor counterparts, lead or co‑lead safety and cost‑control initiatives, and collaborate with procurement and project teams. Fluency in English and willingness to learn Bahasa Indonesia are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mining, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of environmental hazards, monitoring, and control strategies.
• Ability to design and maintain sustainable underground ventilation systems.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and the ability to implement them in operational areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain the technical and engineering aspects of underground mine ventilation systems.
• Mentor counterparts to support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards to minimize incidents and equipment damage.
• Lead or co‑lead air quality initiatives, including DPM and dust‑reduction strategies.
• Develop ventilation plans and build mine ventilation models using Ventsim.
• Prepare AFEs for capital projects and manage related documentation and reporting.
• Support procurement and coordination with Finance for equipment and cost control.
