Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Lead Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia, to lead the design of water supply, sanitation and fire protection systems for industrial projects. You will ensure compliance with NFPA, SNI, and local authorities, and provide construction documents and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience, STRI and SKA/SKK Level 8, and proficiency in hydraulic calculations and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with STRI/SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) in Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design on industrial or regulated projects, including Engineer-in-Charge.
• Expertise in plumbing and sanitary systems plus active fire protection systems and knowledge of NFPA and SNI standards.
• Proficient in hydraulic calculation software for fire and water systems, AutoCAD 2D layouts, and basic ETABS/SAP2000 for coordination.
• Professional English for technical communication with stakeholders and strong multidisciplinary teamwork.

• Operational Guidance: Direct junior engineers and drafters in creating accurate construction documents.

Job Role:

The Lead Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer is the designated expert for water supply, sanitation, and fire suppression systems. You will lead the design of life-safety systems and plumbing infrastructure, ensuring they are robust, compliant with local regulations, and ready for statutory PBG/SLF certification.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field, with valid STRI and SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) in Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design on industrial or regulated development projects, including responsibility as Engineer-in-Charge.
• Expertise in plumbing and sanitary systems, including cold/hot water supply, waste-water, and vent system design, and in active fire protection systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, foam, and fire pumps, with mastery of international and local fire safety standards (NFPA & SNI).
• Proficient in hydraulic calculation software for fire protection and water systems, AutoCAD for 2D layouts, and basic ETABS/SAP2000 for structural coordination.
• Professional English for technical communication with stakeholders, detail-oriented, technically rigorous, with strong coordination and communication skills, and able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
