Job summary

PT CBRE Consultancy Services is seeking a lead for the mechanical maintenance team responsible for preventive maintenance and complex repairs of critical HVAC systems in a 24/7 data centre environment. You will coordinate schedules, mentor technicians, and drive improvements in safety and maintenance practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), hands-on experience with HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, and BMS, and CMMS/EAM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in mission-critical or data centre mechanical systems maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, and building management systems (BMS).
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in a 24/7 critical environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety obligations related to mechanical maintenance activities.
• Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the mechanical team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Oversee all mechanical building systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and associated plant.
• Implement and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.
• Maintain maintenance and safety procedure manuals for mechanical assets.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and subcontractors.
• Perform and oversee complex corrective repairs and fault diagnosis on critical mechanical infrastructure.
• Mentor and coach mechanical technicians; set and track team deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the mechanical team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Oversee all mechanical building systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and associated plant.
• Implement and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.
• Maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals for mechanical assets.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts and technical scopes with outside contractors and subcontractors.
• Perform and oversee complex corrective repairs and fault diagnosis on critical mechanical infrastructure.
• Mentor and coach mechanical technicians; set and track team deadlines.
• Support switching and isolation activities in coordination with the Shift Lead and Critical Facility Manager.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification/trade certification.
• Several years of experience in mission-critical or data centre mechanical systems maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, and building management systems (BMS).
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in a 24/7 critical environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety obligations related to mechanical maintenance activities.
• Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
