Job summary

COSCO is seeking a Technical Expert in Electrical & Instrumentation in Papua, Indonesia. The role focuses on leading engineering development, planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance across construction-related works.

You will drive design, field inspections, and project controls while mentoring national engineers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with eight years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced technical knowledge of engineering design and analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
• Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Project for scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement training and development programs for national engineers.
• Evaluate capital expenditure needs through cost-benefit analysis and provide recommendations.
• Assist design and construction teams in setting priorities and schedules.
• Review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for compliance with standards.
• Lead conceptual engineering for technically demanding projects.
• Monitor and supervise material take-offs and project estimates.
• Review annual plans and budgets to guide operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and environmental standards.
