Job summary

Aliz is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer in Indonesia to design and maintain data pipelines, platforms, and warehouses on GCP, guiding clients’ engineers and our own data team.

You will work in a hybrid setup, applying hands-on coding in Java/Python and SQL, and leveraging BigQuery, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataplex, Looker, dbt Core/Dataform to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as software or data architect with hands-on coding.
• Proficiency in Java/Python and SQL, with ongoing coding involved.
• At least 3 years on Google Cloud Platform and related certifications preferred.
• Strong experience with BigQuery, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataplex, Looker, dbt Core/Dataform.
• Experience in IT services or consultancy and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect and create data pipelines, platforms, and data warehouses on GCP.
• Be a trusted GCP technical consultant and trainer for client tech teams.
• Join client engineering teams and implement relevant new practices.
• Communicate effectively with conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
• Provide tech leadership and mentorship to the data team.
• Own end-to-end development lifecycle and project delivery.
• Involve in presales activities and proof-of-concept delivery.
