Job summary

Star Energy Geothermal invites an experienced Lead Business Planning Specialist to join our Salak operations. You will drive the development and integration of business plans, budgets, KPIs, and five-year plans, working with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance.

• Strong experience in integrated business planning, budgeting, cost control, and performance management.
• Ability to develop, review and consolidate OPEX and CAPEX plans.
• Strong capability in financial modelling, economic evaluation, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and integration of business plans, Work Programs and Budgets, KPIs, and rolling five-year plans.
• Develop annual and long-term generation targets based on reservoir capability, plant availability, and maintenance strategy.
• Lead OPEX planning, proposal review, prioritization, cost estimation, and budget consolidation.
• Monitor OPEX and CAPEX expenditure and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.
• Track business-plan execution, KPI achievement, generation performance, and deviations.
• Conduct financial modelling, scenario analysis, and economic evaluations to support decisions.
• Lead the Opportunity Identification & Resolution process and integrate outcomes into business planning.
• Prepare management, Board, lender, regulatory, and performance reports.
• Coordinate with internal functions and external stakeholders to support plan execution.
• Support audit, compliance, governance, and SHE requirements.

In this role, you will lead the development and integration of business plans, Work Programs and Budgets, KPIs, generation targets, OPEX plans, and rolling five-year plans. You will collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, and support functions to strengthen planning quality, cost efficiency, performance visibility, and management decision-making.

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in integrated business planning, operational planning, budgeting, cost control, performance management, or financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, Work Programs and Budgets, KPIs, generation targets, and medium-term plans.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and consolidating OPEX and CAPEX plans.
• Strong capability in financial modelling, economic evaluation, scenario analysis, and management reporting.
• Ability to influence cross-functional decisions and coordinate across operational, engineering, finance, and support functions.
• Understanding of power generation, energy operations, or similarly complex asset-based environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, communication, and decision-support capabilities.
