Job summary

Coins in the Philippines is seeking a Backend Architect to lead the architectural design and end-to-end development of the core cross-border payment platform. You will manage the full payment lifecycle, including acquiring, clearing, settlement, and ledger accounting.

You will collaborate with risk, finance, compliance, and product teams to optimize stability, security, and performance across multi-currency settlements and international payment rails.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• At least 2 years in technical architecture and distributed systems.
• 2+ years building and maintaining payment infrastructure.
• Led end-to-end lifecycle for core payment platform.
• Experience with international payment rails and banking APIs.
• Strong ownership and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and end-to-end development of the cross-border payment platform.
• Develop anti-fund-loss frameworks, automated reconciliation, and audits.
• Integrate with international payment rails, banks, LPMs, and card networks.
• Optimize infrastructure for high availability and low latency.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, compliance, and product teams.
