Job summary

BitHealth is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to spearhead the design and development of enterprise AI solutions. You will lead AI/ML efforts, guide architecture, and align technical delivery with business goals across product, data, and engineering teams.

You will mentor engineers, assess AI technologies, and ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions in complex healthcare environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data/AI engineering or related roles.
• Experience delivering production AI/ML solutions in enterprise settings.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and RAG.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Engineer to lead the design and development of enterprise-level AI solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, hands-on AI experience, and experience building technology solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Design scalable and reliable AI solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to AI/engineering teams.
• Work closely with Product, Data, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing enterprise applications, APIs, and data platforms.
• Ensure good engineering practices, including code quality, testing, monitoring, security, and documentation.
• Evaluate AI technologies, models, frameworks, and tools based on business and technical requirements.
• Mentor engineers and support technical capability development within the team.

• Around 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong software engineering foundation with hands-on experience building production-level systems.
• Strong experience in AI/ML, preferably including Generative AI, LLM, and RAG.
• Experience designing or building enterprise-level solutions in complex environments.
• Experience can come from either a technology consulting/system integrator background or an internal engineering/product team within an enterprise.
• Good understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and AI integration.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is a plus.
