Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate translation, interpretation, and production projects assigned to internal and external resources.
• Review and approve translation, interpretation, and production work completed by internal and external resources.
• Provide translation and interpretation services, including other duties assigned by the Production Resource Manager.
• Engage with external translation and interpretation providers for assessment, onboarding, training, and relationship management.

Qualifications

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in linguistics, translation, or related field), with at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in translation and interpretation. Less work experience/education will be considered.
• Expertise in translation and skills in writing, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and syntax of written Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Strong Bahasa Indonesia and English interpretation skills; simultaneous interpretation experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven skills in project management, time management, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and the ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Good understanding of Church doctrine, terms, policies, and ecclesiastical organization.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design, media production, and language recording is a plus.
• Ability to navigate through translation and business management tools and web interfaces.
• Travel as required.
