We are seeking a motivated Lab Analyst with a background in Chemical Engineering and laboratory experience.


Role Overview


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support QM in setting up GMP QC Laboratory in accordance with GQS requirements.
  • Conduct routine chemical and physical tests on lubricating oils and greases, using ASTM, IP, TMS, SMS methods, and operate laboratory instruments to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Test base oils to verify they meet required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results for troubleshooting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Label, store, and dispose of retention samples appropriately for quality verification.
  • Test filling samples and advise on remedial actions if contamination is detected.
  • Check incoming materials such as chemicals and gases, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and good laboratory practices, maintaining cleanliness and safety.
  • Follow plant's quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure correct sampling from plant operators and update sample records as needed.
  • Enter test data into GSAP or other systems.
  • Make usage decisions for base oils and additives, consulting supervisors as needed.
  • Conduct trial blends and formulate calculations for new and existing products.
  • Manage retention samples at period end, ensuring proper conditions.
  • Handle waste monitoring and management in the laboratory.

Qualifications Needed

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical qualification in Chemistry.
  • Laboratory experience.
