We are seeking a motivated Lab Analyst with a background in Chemical Engineering and laboratory experience.

What’s the role?

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Support QM in setting up the GMP QC Laboratory according to GQS requirements.
  2. Conduct routine chemical and physical tests on lubricating oils and greases, using ASTM, IP, TMS, and SMS test methods, and operate laboratory instruments to ensure products meet specifications.
  3. Perform routine tests on base oils to verify they meet required specifications.
  4. Maintain accurate records of test results for troubleshooting, analysis, and reporting.
  5. Label and store retention samples from various processes for quality verification, disposing of them properly after retention periods.
  6. Test filling samples and advise on remedial actions if contamination is detected.
  7. Check incoming materials such as chemicals, gases, and equipment parts.
  8. Follow safety regulations and good laboratory practices, maintaining good housekeeping.
  9. Comply with plant quality procedures and work instructions.
  10. Ensure correct sampling by plant operators and update sample information as needed.
  11. Record test results in GSAP or other management systems.
  12. Make usage decisions for base oils and additives, consulting with the Laboratory team when necessary.
  13. Conduct trial blends and formulate calculations for product development.
  14. Dispose of retained samples at the end of their retention period.
  15. Handle and monitor laboratory waste, including pump sump pit conditions.
  16. Calculate and monitor flush movements and usage in products.
What we need from you
  • University Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical qualification in Chemistry.
  • Laboratory experience.
