Job description

As a Teacher at Caterpillar School Bali, you will be responsible for cultivating the students’ interest in education and development. Your responsibilities will include teaching and educating according to the prescriptions of the curriculum adopted by the school, evaluating students’ progress, and planning educational activities.

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our school. The position will start in May or June, with a 1 month training.

We are looking for a warm, caring and cheerful candidate to teach with experience for the age group 3-7 years old, love nature and follow our Finnish Early Childhood Curriculum which is play based, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.

It would also be an advantage to have:

1. Previous experience as a Teacher for Kindergarten in a school setting
2. Experience of teaching bilingual students

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Encourages others' positive self-image and supports individuality, and independence
2. Creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment
3. Observing and guiding children's development at their own pace
4. Building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

10. Assess, record and report on the development, progress and behaviour of students.
11. Provide or contribute to oral and written assignments, reports and references relating to students.
12. Provide for the students’ welfare/personal care both individually and in groups, and ensure their safety.
13. Prepare and distribute termly progress reports
14. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
15. Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.
16. Conduct Parent-Teacher meetings
17. Supervise and guide the teacher assistant.

1. Have a English Language Education/relevant degree and a full teaching qualification
2. Have outstanding written and spoken English skills
