A leading logistics company is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with strategic customers in the logistics sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their sales and marketing experience in logistics to prospect and retain customers, aligning with both regional and global strategies for growth. As a Key Account Manager, you will be the primary contact for a defined number of CSI/MNC and SC customers within a specific sector. Your role will involve managing these relationships effectively while also seeking out new strategic customer targets to expand our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect CSI/MNC targets to win new customers (specifically those not trading in the last 12 months).
- Retain and grow additional business from existing customers, increasing our share of wallet.
- Ensure alignment of Key Account activities with global and regional sector strategies.
- Achieve regional and/or country customer budget by maintaining a robust pipeline, ensuring good contractual performance, and demonstrating proactive thinking.
- Collaborate on regional customer initiatives and implement global business plan strategies.
- Plan and manage accounts effectively, ensuring smooth operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations (SLA's & SOP's).
- Collect relevant customer information for RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and prepare necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with Regional Customer Management (RCM) on account planning, customer inquiries, and business reviews.
- Provide regular updates to RCM and executive sponsors, ensuring awareness of business-critical issues.
- Consult with RCM and Sector Heads on potential solutions and best practices.
- Utilize DGF CRM effectively and maintain data quality.
- Comply with QHSE procedures and regulations, actively participating in all QHSE programs.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree is an advantage.
- Having at least 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing for logistics/supply chain industry is mandatory
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong computer literacy is essential.
- Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to respect and integrity.
- Possess all technical competencies required for the position.
