About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay provides our guests with the highest standards of luxury and personalized service. The resort is located on the southern tip of the island of Bali on the northeast slopes of the Bukit peninsula. Luxuriously appointed private villas are built into a gently terraced hillside named Bukit Permai, which means "beautiful hill".

About the role

We look for candidates who have an excellent culinary background and share the Golden Rule; people who by nature, believe in treating others as we would have them treat us. We look for individuals with the highest integrity and passion for service, strong business acumen, creativity, and an eye for detail.

What you will do:

  • Plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees responsible for preparation of all culinary items while ensuring superior quality and consistency.
  • Train, motivate, supervise, and discipline all chefs working directly and indirectly in the kitchen.
  • Communicate regularly with the Executive Chef to achieve an excellent rapport throughout the food production department and in developing new menu items as well as the quality of all food prepared in the kitchen.
  • Constantly inspect taste, temperature, and visual appeal, making sure that all dishes are uniform and that established portion sizes are adhered to.
  • Ensure that proper H.A.C.C.P. procedures, including records keeping, are followed and the outlet is always clean, neat, and tidy.
  • Establish standard recipes with your chef and ensure compliance with them.
  • Be certified in Food Service Sanitation and implement protocols.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

What you bring:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills; reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Good administration and computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of operational kitchen experience with a diversity of culinary experience and a proven track record in fine dining & high-end Asian and Western cuisine restaurant.
  • Supervisory and management experience is required and culinary qualifications are essential.
  • HACCP certified would be an advantage.
  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma.
