A leading company is seeking a Junior Sales Engineer to cover the Karawang, Purwakarta, and Subang regions. The successful candidate will focus on generating demand for a wide range of industrial products and managing key distributor relationships. JOB TITLE: Junior Sales Engineer for area Karawang, Purwakarta, Subang
STATUS: One Year Contract before Permanent
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the Area Sales Manager you will identify relevant end user clients predominantly (but not limited to) within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Transportation and Oil and Gas sectors, and generate demand for our products through regular visits and the development of relationships with key decision makers.
You will service the generated demand by managing the selection and relationship between Cromwell and our Partner distributors to achieve target sales. Our product range includes Abrasives, Cutting Tools, Hand Tools, Lubricants, Power Tools, PPE, Stationary and Janitorial products.
MAIN TASKS:
· To focus on identifying and generating demand for our products, by introducing and promoting our products to the end users and distributors, differentiating our products from others in the marketplace and selling the key features and benefits of the products
· To achieve agreed sales targets across a defined territory, predominantly via third party distributors
· In conjunction with the management team, you will identify potential sales growth within existing and new customers and markets and lead the business development activities within your designated territory.
· Develop and manage effective relationships with a network of distributors, ensuring that the distributors are kept informed of business performance.
· To manage all aspects of account relationships with key distributors on the area including sales, support and training
· To assist distributor sales staff by regular field visits to drive sell-through.
· To select new distributors in areas of weak sales penetration
· To develop, implement and monitor development plans with distributors.
· To provide weekly / monthly sales forecasts and management information
· To keep abreast of developments in the market and competitive activity advising management as appropriate, ensuring that personal knowledge of products and relevant sectors is kept up to date.
· To ensure that all required administration is carried out in an effective and timely manner and that all agreed procedures are complied with.
· Effective time management and planning
· Represent the Company at industry events, shows, exhibitions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Technical Skills / Experience Required
Knowledge of end user industrial sectors in the defined territory, including manufacturers and their 2nd and 3rdtier suppliers is preferred
Candidates with good knowledge of selling in the industrial market distributors is preferred.
Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to present and sell to management level decision makers and generate demand on the shop floor.
· A working knowledge of tools and associated industrial products is preferred.
· Ideally candidate should graduate in mechanical engineering.
· Language skills in English is preferred.
Valid driving license
· Applicants must be IT literate with a good working knowledge of standard office software applications.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
SALARY: Depending on experience
HOLIDAYS: 12 days per annum, plus replacement day for public holidays that fall on weekend
