What You Can Expect as a Junior Operational Excellence Manager

Reporting to: Head of SCM SEA

Role Purpose Statement

• Implement the 5S program across all areas of Siegwerk Indonesia (Tangerang, Surabaya).
• Roll out process and people excellence initiatives in production, warehouse logistics, and other SCM-related departments.
• Optimize and standardize production processes and technology for ink manufacturing, applicable across worldwide manufacturing facilities from scale-up to commercial production.
• Develop capability building within SCM.
• Promote continuous improvement culture and roll out related programs across all SCM areas.
• Establish 5S culture, lead workshops, and conduct regular audits.
• Provide training and audits on 5S in all SCM areas.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) related to productivity, FTG, material loss, and performance management.
• Monitor CAPA for RCA-related productivity, FTG, and material loss issues.
• Evaluate efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of manpower in production, quality, warehouse/logistics, and SCM back office.
• Assess material loss and process production in each ink type/family/class in coordination with process engineers.
• Evaluate material management and inventory management in warehouses.
• Assess logistics management and logistics costs.
• Develop an operational excellence culture in Siegwerk Indonesia aligned with the regional Asia framework.
• Support optimization of industrialization and scale-up procedures from pilot to full production facilities.
• Review implementation standards for machinery and operational procedures.
• Implement continuous improvement projects in production flow and process to eliminate waste and enhance product quality.
• Lead continuous improvement projects in warehouse logistics.
• Develop capability building initiatives for SCM, including skill matrix development and updates.
• Conduct workload studies and analyses.
• Achieve productivity and cost targets in ID & SEA regions.
• Demonstrate process and people improvements, as well as ongoing program enhancements.
• Implement 5S, HSE, and ISO procedures at the site.

Qualifications/Competencies

• University degree, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 6-10 years of manufacturing operation experience, with understanding of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools.
• Knowledge of project management.
