Job summary

RGF HR Agent Indonesia is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer for construction projects in Jakarta with potential placement in Batam in 2027. You will assist in planning, reviewing drawings, and coordinating mechanical works across disciplines on site.

The role requires at least 1 year of mechanical engineering experience in construction, business English proficiency, and solid understanding of mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Business English proficiency.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in construction.
• Willing to be placed in Batam in 2027.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of mechanical works for construction projects.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Assist in supervising and monitoring mechanical installation works at the project site.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines, including electrical, architectural, and structural teams.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor the quality and progress of mechanical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Assist with mechanical engineering calculations, material quantity take-offs, and technical evaluations.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Identify technical issues on site and assist in developing appropriate solutions.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and other engineering deliverables as required.
• Ensure mechanical works are carried out in accordance with applicable standards, project requirements, and HSE procedures.
