Job summary

A leading multi-minerals mining company in Indonesia is seeking a Junior Geologist to conduct exploration programs and support geological data processing. This role involves creating geological maps, detailed logging activities, and understanding mineralization processes. Ideal candidates would have a degree in Geology and at least one year of industry experience, with a preference for those domiciled in Sumatra or Jabodetabek.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in remote areas with FIFO roster system.

Junior Geologist

Job Description:

• Conduct exploration programs and assist in geological data processing to ensure smooth operations, including creating geological maps, quick logging and detailed logging of drilling activities, and mapping the distribution of lithology, alteration, mineralization, and grades of Au, Ag, Cu, etc., obtained from sampling activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the mining industry, especially in greenfield or brownfield exploration phases. Fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with geological software such as ArcGIS and Micromine.
• Good knowledge of geological mapping, alteration, and mineralization processes.
• Understanding of drilling activities including logging, sampling, geological sectioning, quality assurance, quality control, and data reporting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, team-building, interpersonal, and continuous improvement skills.
• Willing to work in remote areas with a FIFO roster system (5:2).
• Domicile in Sumatera or Jabodetabek preferred.
