Job summary

ESSA is hiring a Junior Field Operator for its LPG plant in Palembang, South Sumatra. You will support day-to-day plant operations, monitor field equipment, and work to meet production targets while upholding high safety and operational standards.

The role requires a Diploma/D3 or Bachelor’s in engineering or a related field, with fresh graduates welcome and up to 2 years of related experience preferred. You will work a 12-hour shift on-site and collaborate with a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with up to 2 years of plant operations experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of process plant operations, equipment, and safety practices.
• Willing to work in a 12-hour shift and be based at the plant site.
• Good communication, discipline, eagerness to learn, and team work; strong HSSE commitment.

Responsibilities

• Operate LPG plant facilities safely and efficiently according to SOPs to support production targets.
• Execute startup, normal shutdown, and emergency shutdown activities under supervision.
• Monitor field equipment, conduct inspections, and log operational data.
• Identify abnormal conditions and report issues to support plant reliability.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Follow supervisor instructions to ensure safe operations.
• Implement HSSE policies, report hazards, and participate in safety programs.
• Maintain tools and facilities in good condition and assist as needed.
