Job summary

PT TEMAS Tbk is seeking an LNG Plant Operator for Osowilangun, Surabaya. You will operate and monitor LNG plant equipment, perform start-up/shutdowns, and conduct routine inspections to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a Diploma (D3) in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or chemical engineering and 1–2 years of field experience in LNG or related industries. You will work in shifts and participate in HSE procedures and drills.

Qualifications

• Diploma D3 in mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/chemical eng.
• 1–2 years of field or plant operator experience.
• Experience in LNG/oil & gas or petrochemical plants preferred.
• Willing to be placed at LNG Plant Osowilangun, Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor LNG plant equipment and facilities according to SOPs.
• Conduct routine field inspections and monitor operating parameters.
• Perform LNG loading, unloading, transfer, and storage activities.
• Carry out start-up, shutdown, and other procedures safely.
• Identify and report abnormalities and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operators for smooth operations.
• Record operational data and logs; report abnormalities.
• Implement HSE, PTW, LOTO, and emergency procedures.

Job description

Operate and monitor LNG plant equipment and facilities in accordance with SOP and operational procedures.

Conduct routine field inspections and monitor equipment conditions and operating parameters.

Perform LNG loading, unloading, transfer, storage, and related operational activities.

Carry out start-up, shutdown, and other operational procedures safely and efficiently.

Identify and report equipment abnormalities, leaks, and potential safety hazards.

Coordinate with Control Room Operators and relevant teams to ensure smooth plant operations.

Record operational data, inspection results, and abnormalities in operational logs and reports.

Implement HSE procedures, Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, and emergency response procedures.

Participate in safety drills, emergency response activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Field Operator, Plant Operator, LNG Operator, or similar position.
• Experience in LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, or industrial plant is preferred.
• Basic understanding of LNG plant operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Able to work in shifts and in an industrial/plant environment.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Safety-oriented, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
• Willing to be placed at LNG Plant Osowilangun, Surabaya.
