We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at PT. Sigma Cipta Caraka (Telkomsigma), placement in Yogyakarta. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of our databases to ensure high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with senior DBAs, developers, and infrastructure teams to support day-to-day database operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Monitor database performance and perform routine health checks.
• Help troubleshoot database issues and support incident resolution.
• Perform basic backup and restore procedures under guidance from senior DBA.
• Assist in implementing database security measures, including user access management.
• Support the migration of databases across environments (development, testing, production).
• Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure database queries are optimized.
• Learn and apply best practices in database administration, tuning, and disaster recovery.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; having internship or project experience related to databases is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with at least one database platform (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
