About the role

PT Fata Organa Solusi is seeking a talented Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with senior data scientists and cross-functional teams to extract insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the preparation and cleaning of data from various sources to ensure quality and reliability for analysis.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Participate in the creation of predictive models, using tools such as Python, R, or any machine learning frameworks.
• Work on model engineering and optimization, tuning parameters to improve model accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with the team to deploy and serve models in production environments.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders to support decision-making processes.

What we're looking for

• Have intermediate understanding in Python.
• Interested in data science and audio technology.
• Willing to self-learn new things, and if necessary, unlearn and relearn programming methods.
• Understand basic git concepts (PR, commit, fork).
• At least 525 TOEFL PBT or 5.5 IELTS or 55 TOEFL IBT. Does not need to take test, proven by interview in English.

Advantageous if:

• Have experience working with C++, more so C++17 or newer.
• Understand versioning, release management, and tagging on Git.
• Have experience working in more than one OS.
• Experience in CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, other systems).
• Have N5 or higher Japanese Proficiency.
• Understand the concept of clean code.
• Understand the concept of unit testing.
• Able to write good and concise reports.
• Have moderate understanding of web development, database management and design.
