Job summary

VLink Inc is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to design and execute test cases for banking and fintech software. You will perform functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms, while validating banking workflows and data accuracy.

You will log defects via Jira, perform API checks with Postman, and participate in requirement reviews with BAs and developers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional manual QA/testing experience, preferably in banking/fintech.
• Experience with Jira for test management and bug tracking.
• Hands-on API testing experience using Postman.
• Strong understanding of test design, STLC, and quality concepts.
• Familiarity with banking domain workflows and financial software testing requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and quick learning ability.

Job description

• Design, write, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios tailored for banking and financial applications.
• Perform functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms to ensure software compliance with business requirements.
• Perform basic API testing using Postman to validate endpoints, payloads, and response status codes.
• Log, track, and manage software defects through their complete lifecycle using Jira, providing clear steps to reproduce and supporting documentation.
• Participate in requirement reviews and refinement sessions with Business Analysts and Developers to understand functional specifications.
• Validate core banking workflows, financial transaction paths, and data accuracy across testing environments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and adherence to SLA timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience as a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer or Software Tester, preferably within the banking, financial services, or fintech sector.
• Hands-on experience using Jira for test management, bug reporting, and issue tracking.
• Practical experience performing manual API testing using Postman.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, test case design techniques, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with banking domain workflows and financial software testing requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
