Job summary

PT Archi Indonesia Tbk is seeking a Geologist with a Bachelor's in Geological Engineering to support field operations and grade control. The role emphasizes HSE compliance, data management, and collaboration with mining production.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of mining geology experience, strong English and Indonesian language skills, and proficiency in Office Suite and 3D geological modeling (Surpac or equivalent). On-site roster work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
• More than 1 year of experience in mining geology, with a focus on grade control and field operations.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken).
• Proficient with Office Suite and 3D mining/geological modeling software such as Surpac or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Implement personal HSE performance and contribute to a high standard of HSE within the project section.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure safety procedures and permits are followed during work, including JSEA and tag-out.
• Ensure accident investigations are carried out to a high standard.
• Coordinate ore mapping, grade control, and QA/QC sampling.
• Assist with daily database activities (Drilling, Production, FMS).
• Generate weekly drilling reviews and ore inspection summaries.
• Coordinate with mining production to meet daily/weekly/monthly targets.
• Supervise grade control drilling and blast hole programs.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Duties

• Implement personal HSE performance and contribute to a high standard of HSE within the project section.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings as required.
• Ensure all company and departmental safety procedures and standards are followed during work execution, particularly isolation and tag-out procedures, safe work permits, hot work permits, and JSEA.
• Ensure accident and incident investigations are carried out to a high standard.
• Ensure required safety training is completed for all section employees and identify/action any additional training needs.
• Supervise grade control drilling and blast hole programs, and monitor QA/QC sampling-assaying.
• Generate and plot pit mapping during ore spotting or new drilling campaigns.
• Ensure proper ore digging according to SOPs, minimizing dilution through close supervision, and produce weekly ore inspection reviews.
• Coordinate daily with mining production to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and produce weekly drilling reviews.
• Assist the Database Geologist with daily database activities (Drilling, Production, FMS).
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
• Possesses more than 1 (>1) year of experience in mining geology, with a strong focus on grade control and field operations.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Office Suite and 3D mining/geological modeling software (such as Surpac or equivalent).
• Sound understanding of mining safety protocols, HSE procedures, JSEA, and work permit systems.
• Strong analytical skills in geological data, high attention to detail, and a solid understanding of QA/QC sampling and assaying procedures.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with the willingness to be based on-site under a roster work schedule.
• Possession of a valid Driving License (SIM A/B) and a First-Line Operational Supervisor Certificate (POP) will be highly advantageous.
• Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
