We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our client's team in Jakarta. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of data pipelines, databases, and data integration solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data analysis and enable data-driven decision-making for our client's organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to understand data requirements and implement data solutions.
2. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
3. Design and implement data models, database schemas, and data warehouses.
4. Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation, cleansing, and profiling.
5. Optimize and tune database queries and processes for performance and scalability.
6. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and inconsistencies.
7. Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain data security and privacy measures.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering technologies and practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and practices.
3. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
4. Familiarity with data integration tools and frameworks such as Apache Kafka or Apache Nifi.
5. Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
6. Knowledge of data modeling concepts and experience with database design.
7. Basic understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
8. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience with related technologies.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
11. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
12. Must be able to work on-site in Jakarta.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
2. Knowledge of data governance and data quality management.
3. Understanding of data visualization tools and techniques.
4. Familiarity with machine learning and statistical analysis.
5. Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
