Job summary

Hatch Jakarta is seeking a motivated Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group in Jakarta, Indonesia. You will contribute to the design, analysis and specification of piping systems, working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams across mining, metals, infrastructure and energy projects.

You will scope piping requirements, prepare specifications and 3D models, participate in design reviews and ensure safety, quality and technical excellence while delivering

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (preferred).
• Experience on mining, metals, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
• Exposure to detailed engineering and EPCM environments.
• Working knowledge of piping engineering standards, regulations and industry codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to technical excellence and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Scope piping and valving requirements across a range of projects.
• Prepare piping specifications, datasheets and technical documentation.
• Contribute to the development and review of P&IDs, piping layouts and isometric drawings.
• Perform calculations relating to pipe sizing, support design and pipe stress analysis.
• Support the development of 3D models and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to develop practical and integrated design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and technical excellence.
• Work closely with lead engineers and project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

As a member of our piping engineering team, you will contribute to the delivery of projectsby supporting the design, analysis and specification of piping systems.
