Job summary

Indocyber is seeking a backend QA engineer to join our Jakarta team. The role requires 3+ years of software quality assurance experience with a strong focus on backend testing. You will perform API testing using Postman, Insomnia, RestAssured, or PyTest and validate data across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

Experience with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines (Git) is essential. This is a full-time, 12-month PKWT/contract role in the Jakarta area, with on-site work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong emphasis on backend testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering, Information System, or related majors.
• Deep hands-on API testing using tools like Postman, Insomnia, RestAssured, PyTest or similar.
• Strong SQL querying skills for PostgreSQL and MySQL and experience with MongoDB/Redis.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD tools and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Perform backend QA testing and API validation for services.
• Develop and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with developers.
• Work with databases to validate data integrity and query performance.

Working System: Full WFO

Employment Contract: PKWT/Contract (12 months)

Job Requirements:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Informatics Engineering, Information System, or any related majors
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong emphasis on backend testing.
• API Testing: Deep hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, RestAssured, PyTest, or similar).
• Database Knowledge: Strong expertise in querying relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with AWS
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
