Job summary

PT PAHALA BAHARI NUSANTARA, a tuna processing company, invites an IT Programmer to join our backend team in Indonesia. You will design and maintain ERP backend with Python/Django, implement PostgreSQL schemas, and build RESTful APIs for analytics and reporting.

We seek 3+ years ERP programming experience, a CS degree with Accounting specialization, and strong knowledge of DRF, OLTP/OLAP, and CI/CD practices. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend of the ERP system using Python and Django.
• Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas for high-volume OLTP transactions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and implement data pipelines to sync OLTP data with OLAP databases for analytics and reporting.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Write clean, scalable, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Assist end-users and provide solutions for ERP-related issues.

Our current market includes countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other countries in the Americas.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in ERP Programming.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with major of Computerized Accounting.

Must be knowledgeable in:

Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and modern backend development practices.

PostgreSQL (OLTP) database design, query optimization, and familiarity with OLAP databases (e.g., ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery) for reporting.

Basic to Intermediate Accounting principles (Highly preferred/strong advantage).

ERP System workflows and architecture (Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Odoo, or custom ERPs is a strong plus).

Strong understanding of database architecture, specifically the differences and integration strategies between OLTP and OLAP systems.

Experience with asynchronous task processing and message brokers (e.g., Celery, Redis, or RabbitMQ).

Familiarity with version control (Git), API security, and basic CI/CD pipeline concepts.

Diligent, honest, conscientious, and responsible in carrying out the work.

Have interpersonal skills, adaptable, resilient to stress and situations.

Good analytical thinking, communication skills, maintains relations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Ability to make reports orally and in writing to IT management.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain the backend of the ERP system using Python and Django.

Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas for high-volume OLTP transactions.

Develop RESTful APIs and implement data pipelines to sync OLTP data with OLAP databases for analytics and reporting.

Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and integration tests (using PyTest or Django's built-in testing tools) to ensure code quality, reliability, and prevent regressions.

Write clean, scalable, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.

Helping fix the end-users problem while using ERP system.

Advice and suggestion to end-users if needed.

Escalate and monitor the problem to third party until the problem solved.

Resolve technical issues promptly via phone, onsite, or remotely.

Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support.
